Meet the MD

Dr Roy van Brummelen, in 2004 was appointed as professor extraordinaire Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria (TUT), started his education in 1984, successfully completed his degree in pharmacy (BPharm), in 1987. In 1989, he accepted a post in the Department of Chemical Pathology at the University of Pretoria. In 1990, he completed his degree MSc (Chemical Pathology) at the same university. He completed his PhD (Medical Science) in 1993, for the first time describing a new biochemical pathway, also registering as a medical scientist. In 1993 Dr van Brummelen, together with 3 colleagues co-founded the company Biomox Pharmaceuticals. Dr van Brummelen has been nominated on several sub-committees, specialising in the field of complementary medicine, and is still actively involved in the training and evaluation of post-graduate students at several universities. He also presented work at several conferences. Dr van Brummelen is also the co-founder of several other companies.
